Paths of the global transition towards renewable energy sources (reality and prospects)

Abstract

The research aims to show the current and future paths of the global transition towards the use of renewable energy sources in light of the expectations of depletion of traditional sources and increasing global energy demand. In order to achieve the research objective, the descriptive analytical method was used to analyze the changes in the indicators under study based on the information and data available in official and academic sources. One of the most important findings of the researcher is that despite the high energy demand, the share of energy demand from renewable sources is still below the required level. The research recommended the need to increase the use of renewable energy, increase spending on research and development, and use modern technology in industry to reduce pollution and expand the use of modern technology, and to reduce the use of conventional energy.
