Author Guidelines

Publication Rules

1- The author of the research submits his research to the editorial board for publication after filling out a special form for researchers. The research must be in two copies printed on A4 paper with a single line spacing, leaving a margin on all sides of (3.5) cm. The font used must be size (14) Calibri (Body) type. Note that two copies of the research must be sent so that it can be sent for arbitration. The research must contain an abstract in Arabic and English, taking into account the placement of the main words (keywords) in the abstracts, and including the researcher or researchers’ information on the first page, such as the name in Arabic and English, the place of work, and the official email, if any.

2- In the case of non-extracted research, the researcher pledges in writing (according to a special pledge form) not to extract his research from his master’s thesis or doctoral dissertation or that of the researchers participating with him, and that the research has not been previously published in any publication medium. Otherwise, he bears the legal consequences. The research is referred to the examination of the structure of plagiarism, and the percentage of plagiarism must not exceed 20%.
3- The journal is committed to informing the relevant authorities and the university to which the researcher is affiliated upon discovering the existence of plagiarism or plagiarism in the submitted research, with reference to the original research and the place and year of publication.

4- A computer disk shall be attached with the research according to the printing instructions mentioned using the (WORD) program, for the purposes of electronic plagiarism.

5- The number of pages of the research shall not exceed (25) pages, according to the font type mentioned above.

6- Research sent for publication shall be subject to arbitration, and topics that are declined for publication shall not be returned.

7- It is required that the topics sent for publication in the journal have not been published or sent for publication inside or outside Iraq.

8- The researcher shall adhere to objectivity and the scientific method in research, analysis and attribution, and shall be concerned with the integrity of the language of the research, and shall be committed to referring to previous studies on the research topic.

9- A brief summary of the researcher's academic biography, the title of his current work, and a personal photo, if desired, shall be attached with the research, study, article or translation.

11- Issuing special issues to cover economic conferences and seminars or those related to financial affairs.
12- The journal also welcomes the presentation of modern economic scientific books, provided that the book's publication period does not exceed five years as a maximum and does not exceed (5) pages or (750) words.
13- Researchers can participate by sending translated foreign articles or summaries of translated international reports, with the original foreign version of the article or report being sent, provided that this does not conflict with the publication conditions of the original publishing entity.
14- The journal reserves the right to publish priority for all topics received according to the editorial plan.

Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement Guidelines

Editorial Duties and Responsibilities: 

- Publication Decisions

The editorial board is the responsible body for approving the publication of the scientific researches submitted to the journal. Papers submitted to the journal are evaluated to ensure that they meet all the criteria of publication’s terms and conditions regardless of race, gender, religious backgrounds, ethnicity, nationality, and political philosophy. What is taken into consideration is the scientific value, ethical criteria of work, scientific research integrity, language, citation and plagiarism. The editorial board panel is committed to improve the scientific sobriety of the journal through the publication of researches according to their importance, clarity, originality and their accordance with the terms and conditions announced to the researchers.

 

- Confidentiality

The chief and the members of the editorial board panel undertake not to disclose any information related to submitted documents or papers to the journal except those necessary information authorized by the authors, editors, consultants and publisher.

 

- Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest

It is not permitted for the chief or the members of the editorial board to use any information stated in the unpublished documents or papers for their own scientific researches except by having a written permission from the original author of the research.

 

Reviewers' Responsibilities:

- Contribution to Editorial Decisions

The research’s reviewing helps the editorial panel to make the appropriate decision concerning the research in addition to helping the author to improve his/her research. The editorial board panel is committed to giving the reviewers the regulations, standards, and the level of originality of the documents and papers accepted for publications in the journal. The editorial board panel is also committed to not to disclosing the names of the reviewers but with a written consent by the reviewers themselves.

 

- Promptness

It is necessary for the selected reviewers to notify the editorial board panel of their  apology for  reviewing as soon as possible.

 

- Confidentiality

Reviewers are required to deal confidentially with the papers and documents sent to them. The documents and papers cannot be disclosed or discussed with others, except for the editor of the journal.

 

- Standards of Objectivity

The objective criteria in reviewing are a must and the personal judgement about authors is not allowed and disregarded. The review must be reinforced by clear opinions and scientific arguments and, it must be in accordance with the journal’s regulations and approved criteria of “publication terms”.

 

- Acknowledgement of Sources

Reviewers must notify the editorial board panel by the non-compliance of the author with the standards of publication in the journal. Additionally,  they should make sure of the aptness of the references  as well as the correct referencing (references should match in the body and bibliography). It must be ensured that the views and arguments presented do not belong to other researches. Reviewers must notify the editor in case there is similarity or overlap between their manuscript submitted to the journal and any other published researches.

 

- Disclosure and Conflict of Interests

It is not allowed for reviewers to use any information and ideas stated in the reviewed manuscripts for personal purposes, competitive interests, or any other interests. Furthermore, they  should also disclose any conflict of interests that may make their opinion about the manuscript biased.

 

Authors' Duties:

- Reporting Standards

Researcher(s) must comply with the regulations and disciplines of “publication policy” and the writing style approved by the journal. Criteria of accurate manuscripts must be provided through clarity of the aim, presentation of results in an accurate and sequent way, discussion of these results to fulfil the aims of the research along with object justification of the method of research. The manuscripts should be enhanced with work details as well as with modern scientific references. Researches should not include results stated in other researches. Inclusion of results that are forged or stolen is considered unethical and unacceptable behaviour. The researcher should sign a pledge concerning the above items 

 

- Multiple, Redundant, or Concurrent Publication

Researchers should not send their work to more than one journal; otherwise, it would be against the discipline of the publication. It is not permitted for researchers to submit a manuscript being evaluated to another journal which has its own policy of publication. In case of submitting a manuscript, a researcher can retain the published material.

 

- Authorship of the Paper

Specific names of the authors must be given, those who have made significant contribution in the research including idea of the research, design, implementation, and writing. One of the authors must be appointed as a coordinator to be in contact with the journal. A final approval should be given for the final version of the manuscript submitted to publication (the pledge).

 

- Disclosure and Conflict of Interests

Researchers should reveal financial support or any other kind of support provided for them. Also, they should reveal any financial conflicts or other issues that affect the results or the interpretations of the research.

 

- Fundamental Errors in Published Works

Researcher(s) should notify the editor or the publisher in case of misstatements in the material of their manuscripts in order to do the needed corrections in the misprinting forms. When authors discover a significant error or inaccuracy in the published research, they should inform and cooperate with the editor or the publisher of the journal in order to undo or correct their researches in the misprinted form
