The research dealt with entrepreneurial orientation as an independent variable that included five sub-dimensions (creativity, proactive independence, competitive attack, and risk tolerance), and the institutional excellence variable as a dependent variable with five sub-dimensions (leadership, human resources, operations, knowledge, and financial excellence). These two variables interacted to form The framework around which the research revolves, which aimed to determine the effect of each of the independent variables (entrepreneurial orientation) on the dependent variable (institutional excellence). Because the banking sector has become one of the most important parts that make up the services sector and constitutes a fundamental axis for building and developing the economies of countries, the Iraqi banking sector was identified as a research community for a number of branches of Al-Rafidain and Al-Rashid Banks spread in the capital, Baghdad, and a purposive sample was chosen that consisted of sixteen branches of the two banks.
The research was based on a problem represented by the increasing intensity of intense competition facing Iraqi banks at the present time as a natural reflection of the state of development occurring in the economic and technological environment, which requires them to achieve the best and optimal response to these changes and not to continue following traditional administrative methods in banking work, which leads them to lag behind in... The rest of the Arab and international banks
Data was collected from (113) employees working in the selected branches, represented by those with advanced degrees and advanced job degrees, from the research community, which is represented by (35) branches (22 branches of Rafidain Bank and 13 branches of Al-Rashid), and the questionnaire form was used as the main tool for collecting data. In order to process this data, a set of statistical methods were used, including (arithmetic mean, standard deviation, percentages, correlation coefficient, and test coefficient).
Based on measuring and diagnosing the research variables and testing correlations and influences between them, the research reached a set of conclusions, among which was the high level of availability of the research variables within the banks in the research sample, and the existence of a correlation between the two variables: entrepreneurial orientation and institutional excellence, in addition to the presence of a moral effect of the relationship between them.
