Abstract

The rese archers goal of this study, evaluating the current job involvement and the organizational commitment of the Sections Directorate Education of Second Rusafa\ Bagdad from the view point of its personnel, second, knowing the nature of the relationship between the job involvement and the organizational commitment and, third, finding out the differences that carry statistical implications at the level (α=0.05) in the organizational commitment of the personnel inscribed to personal and work variables (i.e., sex, age, experience, qualifications and work administrative level).A questionnaire of (30) questions is designed and administered among (439) personnel (= 50% of the informants). In order to evaluate the job involvement and the organizational commitment of the torte of Education, the information is processed by the use of SPSS V-10, Descriptive Statistics (Percentages and means and Standard Deviation). Moreover, Regression Analysis, Statistics F and T, and five way (ANOVA) have all been used for the same purpose. This results reveal that its personnel’s evaluation is positive. The same applies to the job involvement of all its dimensions respectively, (physical involvement, emotional involvement, and cognitive / absorption involvement). Statistically speaking, there is a positive relationship (α=0.05 or less) between all the dimensions above and organizational commitment furthermore, the results show a statistical significance of difference at the indication level (α=0.01 or less) in the personnel’s organizational commitment due to age, qualifications and work level variables.This study recommends reviewing the job involvement  continuously to reinforce its positive aspects and treat its negative aspects.
