This research aims to analyze the developmental role of the health sector using sustainable development indicators. The descriptive-analytical approach was adopted. The sample countries were Denmark and Saudi Arabia. Denmark's economy was found to be significantly superior to the global standard in terms of sustainable development indicators. As for the Saudi economy, it achieved developmental rates in some indicators, and this improvement is attributed to economic development. Regarding the Iraqi economy, a significant conclusion was reached: it suffers from a shortage of medical personnel, particularly doctors. Internationally, the ratio of doctors per 1,000 people is measured, with the ratio in Iraq reaching 1.0, while the global standard is 1.7 in 2023. The research concluded with an important recommendation: the necessity of focusing on health investment, as productive spending leads to the accumulation of human capital, increases production and productivity, achieves economic development, and contributes to the development of other economic sectors.
