This research aims to evaluate the economic return of using solar energy by examining industrial projects in Duhok Governorate that rely on solar power. It seeks to determine the appropriate economic feasibility for implementing projects based on clean energy and to identify the optimal alternative to conventional energy sources. The study specifically conducts a comparative analysis between traditional energy and solar energy. The findings indicate that solar energy is an important economic resource with well-defined economic parameters that make it a viable alternative to conventional energy sources. The results further reveal that projects utilizing solar energy can increase their profits by approximately 14 million Iraqi dinars. The study also attempts to provide future and practical recommendations through the development of suitable legislation and regulations to encourage the adoption of solar energy in the industrial sector, as well as to raise awareness of its importance and benefits within the sector.
