Abstract

Abstract.

                   Wages are an important issue related to labor and labor economics. The study aims to clarify the most important determinants of wages in the private sector in the city of Erbil for the year 2016, and to achieve the goals of the study, a quantitative analysis was used to build a standard model to estimate the relationship between wages and its most important determinants and the study data was obtained through the technique of the questionnaire form for a sample of (909) male workers Females are in (120) private economic establishments. Among the most important results of the study are:

-  The most important variables that affect the average wages of workers are years of education, experience, skill and work in administrative centers.

  -  The variables of special skills and work in administrative centers have a greater impact on average wages compared to the variables of education and experience
