Abstract

This research aims to estimate the electric energy production function in Iraq for the period (2004-2019). The research adopted the standard methodology (ARDL Bound test model) in estimation in order to determine the effect of (the number of workers, wages, salaries, capital, and oil price) as explanatory variables on the amount of electrical energy production as a dependent variable in the short and long term. The research concluded that the explanatory variables were significant in their effects on the amount of energy produced in the short term, with the exception of the work component, and all these variables were significant in the long term, at a significant level of 10%, except for the capital variable.
