Information technology contributes effectively to simplifying and facilitating customs procedures, in addition to its great role in business accuracy, reducing costs and time spent completing tasks, high transparency in customs work, and the quality of reports prepared for higher managements that help them make appropriate decisions and build an important database. As the increase in the volume of world trade was reflected in a large and clear way on the futility of paper work for customs procedures, which creates a state of bureaucracy and personal diligence, and the spread of financial corruption. Therefore, the aim of this study is to urge the General Authority for Customs to adopt the latest technologies and electronic applications applied in many countries of the world, based on the recommendations of international organizations concerned with foreign trade and professional organizations specialized in customs work. Therefore, the study recommends the formation of a national team that includes all parties concerned and beneficiaries of the application of modern programs and systems in the development of automated customs work, using the global (ASYCUDA) system with its latest versions, while providing political support from all government agencies, and providing the necessary funds for that.
