Abstract

This research aims to study the effectiveness of monetary policy in achieving macroeconomic goals after 2003 by studying a set of characteristics through which the effectiveness of monetary policy in the economy can be determined. One of the most important findings of the research is that the role of monetary policy in achieving macroeconomic goals is weak due to the link between monetary policy and government trends, and one of the most important recommendations reached by the research is to work to diversify sources of government revenues as a means of reducing pressure on monetary policy.
