Abstract

Good governance has emerged as one of the terms that deal with promoting the values of justice, equality, anti-corruption, and transparency. The research is an attempt to find out the foundations of the relationship of good governance with some indicators of sustainable development in Iraq after the transition from development in its material form to human development, and then the concepts of development developed to relate to humans. And the environment and the preservation of natural resources ina proportionate manner. It started from the problem that many studies dealt with indicators of good governance, their level of development and their implications, and many studies linked them to economic indicators, especially sustainable development, but still many studies will not stop the decline in sustainable development in some countries despite From the spread of principles of good governance globally, some explanations were linked to political reasons and management of state authorities, while others suggested a decline for economic reasons.A hypothesis was developed that there is a direct relationship between indicators of good governance and indicators of sustainable development, and it reached conclusions, the most important of which is that the relationship between good governance and sustainable development must be A degree of consistency in order to maintain political stability and ensure the continuation of development programs to mitigate or eliminate the pressures that accompany the economic reform process.
