Abstract

Combating corruption and preserving public funds is one of the most significant challenges faced by countries and governmental institutions worldwide. The importance of preventive oversight is evident in its ability to strike a balance between public and private interests. It does so by evaluating the financial activities and practices of institutions, providing guidance, and enhancing them to achieve maximum efficiency, effectiveness, and economic value. Furthermore, it aims to promote a culture of transparency and integrity،This research aims to study the preventive oversight of the Federal Integrity Commission and its role in preserving public funds. The deductive approach was adopted by examining the main concepts of the research and reviewing the literature available. Additionally, documents pertaining to the Commission's working mechanisms were analyzed, and interviews were conducted with officials and employees of the Federal Integrity Commission. Moreover, a descriptive and analytical approach was employed to evaluate the role of preventive oversight in the Commission and its impact on preserving public funds.

The study demonstrated that preventive oversight has a positive impact on preserving public funds by enhancing public trust in the government and promoting economic stability. Based on the findings, the study recommends enhancing the role of the Federal Integrity Commission and expanding its authority in the field of preventive oversight. It also suggests developing mechanisms and tools to combat corruption and preserve public funds. Additionally, the study recommends strengthening communication and consultation between oversight bodies and other relevant entities to ensure coordination of efforts and enhance the effectiveness of preventive oversight in the future.
