Abstract

To study the relationship and impact of good leadership principles represented by strategic orientation, accountability, transparency, and participation in promoting organizational sustainability, and by applying it to the University of Tikrit, a questionnaire was prepared for this purpose and distributed to a random sample of employees in the faculties of Islamic sciences at the University of Tikrit. The study was based on two main hypotheses, the first of which stated that there is a statistically significant relationship between the good leadership principles and organizational sustainability at the University of Tikrit, while the second stated a statistically significant impact of the good leadership principles in promoting organizational sustainability at the University of Tikrit. To verify the study hypotheses, the statistical methods of correlation analysis and multiple linear regression analysis were used. Using the SPSS-26 statistical program, the data was analyzed and results were drawn, the most important of which is that the perceptions and impressions of the respondents in the study sample about good leadership principles and organizational sustainability were positive, and that there are positive relationships between the good leadership principles and organizational sustainability. It was also found that there is a statistically significant impact of good leadership principles in promoting organizational sustainability, as these principles contribute to explaining (75%) of the variation in organizational sustainability, and transparency is considered the most influential principle of good leadership in organizational sustainability, followed by the principle of participation, then the principle of strategic orientation, and finally the principle of accountability
