The results showed an inverse relationship between increasing the role of global innovation indicators and their proper application, providing direct government support for innovations, and reducing harmful emissions, especially CO2 emissions. The results also demonstrated a direct relationship between the global innovation index and sustainable economic growth. This indicates that Saudi Arabia has adopted modern technologies in producing alternative energy, transforming from a country reliant on traditional fuels and oil production to one with a high capacity for alternative energy production. This can help decision-makers in Iraq formulate development policies that support innovative projects and encourage investment in green economies and the clean energy sector by providing a suitable investment environment in terms of security and legal frameworks.
